Before you play

Check the clue and your surroundings. Only attempt a Quest if it is safe, lawful, accessible, and appropriate for you. An ordinary activity can still be unsafe because of traffic, weather, health, mobility, or local conditions.

You can leave a Quest without completing it. Do not assume the timer pauses or that skipping preserves a result or streak. Your wellbeing matters more than the game.

Stay aware of your surroundings

• Never play while driving, cycling, crossing a road, or operating machinery. Stop somewhere safe before using your phone.
• Do not trespass, climb, enter water, go near edges or railway tracks, or visit isolated or restricted places for a photo.
• Do not touch, taste, move, or interfere with unfamiliar objects, animals, plants, equipment, or someone else’s belongings.
• Respect local rules, weather warnings, accessibility needs, and instructions from staff or property owners.
• Never pressure another person to participate or put themselves at risk.

Point the camera with care

Prefer objects over people. Ask permission before photographing someone, and obtain separate permission before sharing an identifiable image. Be especially careful with children. Do not photograph people in private or vulnerable situations.

Keep addresses, number plates, documents, screens, private messages, and other identifying details out of the frame. Metadata removal cannot hide a detail that is visible in the photo. Review the image before submitting or sharing it.

App submissions are sent for AI checking. Saved photo memories and public photo sharing are unavailable in the first release. See the photo privacy explanation.

Younger players and accessibility

Follow the age requirements in our Terms. Parents and guardians should help eligible younger players choose safe surroundings and understand what information a photo can reveal.

Do not attempt a Quest that does not work for your abilities or circumstances. If a clue or interface is inaccessible, tell us what needs improving. We cannot guarantee that every Quest suits every person.

Report a problem

Use in-app report and block controls for harmful content or behaviour, or email a safety report. Include the Quest number or username and a short description. Do not download, copy, or forward illegal images.
